A Rare Opportunity for the Wife
Those of you who already know about the tradition of Karva Chauth would know that it is one of the most auspicious days for a wife and her husband to express their love for each other. The tradition of Karva Chauth is inherent to Sanatana Dharm, wherein its ‘vidhi’ and the tradition of the same is mentioned in the Hindu Shastra (the scriptures). It is not just a trend or just one more day in the Hindu calendar, where wives just wear ‘Shringar’, beautiful clothes and put on makeup and fast in whatever convenient way they deem fit.
What most of you know is that a wife fasts on ‘Karva Chauth’ for the long life of her husband. Now a question arises: How does the life of the husband increase by fasting on a particular day? Who would increase the life of the husband? Answer is, it is the wife herself who does this. How? It is the ‘Sankalp Shakti’ (the power of determination) and her ‘Yoga Bal’ , the ‘Yoga Tapa’ that she generates within herself on this day by doing Mantra Sadhna and keeping strict ‘Sayyam’ (self-restraint) over herself.
Increase & Exhibit Your Yoga & Tapa Shakti
No miracle is happening when she (the wife) fasts. It is simply that the wife increases her own ‘Tapo Bal’, her own prowess of ‘Tapa’ by fasting (a sadhna of self-control on her senses) with the intention that she is going to protect her husband through her Yogic powers. She does this with the intention that it is she who would be ready to give or take life first to protect her husband from any major problem or any danger to his life. Through this kind of technique to do Sadhna, the wife tries to raise her inner power, her Prana Shakti, her ‘Tapa’ Shakti to a point wherein she is able to then pass on a part of her Yogic power, the Tapa Shakti to her husband, that increases the energy in him.
Women Are Not Slaves But the Beloved
A woman as the wife observes the ‘Karva Chauth Vrat’ and does this Sadhna not because she is the slave of her husband. This would be an extremely low level of thinking. Only a mind whose doors are completely shut can think like this and have no capacity to understand things of higher dimension, where humans can transfer their energies (the Prana Shakti) to another person who is deeply connected to him/ her. It comes under one of the advanced techniques, which is common to people with higher consciousness. The scriptures and Shastra of the Sanatana Dharma mentions innumerable such techniques. The Himalayan Siddhas are adept in all such techniques.
Now a wife is able to do this particular Sadhna in her life because the presence of the husband, presence of the man is giving such an opportunity to the wife, the woman. Not every woman is fortunate to be able to do this Sadhna. Neither every woman who is married and is a wife is fit to do this. The ones for whom I am writing this article would understand what I mean to say. Further, it is the wife who evokes her Tapa Shakti through fasting and certain Mantra Sadhna and then passes on a part of this power to her husband. That is why the knowledge and Sadhna system of Karva Chauth is only for the ones who believe in the prowess of the Tapa Shakti. Just wearing make-up, ‘Shringar’ and jewellery is not what Karva Chauth fasting is about. One must do ‘Tapasya’ the whole day to be able to generate such power in oneself and then pass it on to your husband, to increase his life, by increasing his Prana Shakti through your Tapasya.
A certain kind of devotion and love is necessary between a husband and a wife, which is rare in the dark age of Kaliyuga. Because nowadays marriages are not made in heaven since people look down upon the ancient arrangement (as elaborated by the Enlightened beings in the Shastra) to choose a befitting wife for a man and vice versa. You can see the ill-effects of the same and the progeny that comes forth from such union where one doesn’t know in-depth about the ‘Gotra’, ‘Kula’, the ‘Vrittis’ (the attributes) of the going to be bride and the groom. When many people today don’t have idea about their ‘Kula Devi’ or ‘Kula Devata’, then what can one say about the plight of people in the most advanced civilizations on planet earth. Most people do not have the neurons to understand what ‘Dharm’ means. That capacity to grasp the matter of the subtler dimensions is missing. Most are completely blind to the eternal truth that Dharma, the truth, is the most important priority of human life.
Purush: The Man Doesn’t Do Karva Chauth Sadhna
Karva Chauth fasting is specific to women as per the scriptures. It is not a technique for the husband. For the husband, there are other Sadhna they do on specific days for his wife.
One reason being, women are the ‘Stri Shakti’ and the Supreme mother Goddess Adishakti said in ‘Durga Saptashati’:
।।स्त्रिय: समस्ता सकला जगत्सु।।
(Striyah Samasta Sakala Jagatsu)
“The Mother Goddess is saying that all the women in this world are a part of Me in my own different forms. They are me.”
So each woman is the Shakti in herself. And the Shastra also tells us that if one removes the ‘Matra’ of ‘ई’ (the vowel ‘i’) from ‘Shiva’, it becomes the ‘Shava’. ‘Shava’ means the corpse. So the ‘matra’ of ‘ई’ is the Shakti. It is when the Shakti stands with the ‘Purush’, the woman stands with the man, only then there is dynamism, the action in the ‘Purush’ (this is the cosmic law also). That is why here, in this Sadhna, it is the Shakti that observes the fast, not the Shiva.
Matter of Love for the Wife
Natural curiosity is, why doesn’t the husband do any such Sadhna for the wife? Well, who said husbands don’t do it! The husband does a similar Sadhna where he observes the fast for the long life of the wife or the lover on the auspicious day of ‘Sharad Poornima’. The Siddhas do this Sadhna in their own secret ways. But this tradition is extinct now. There are many such traditions that was part of the tradition of everyday life. In some cultures, they don’t celebrate and observe fast of ‘Karva Chauth’. They do ‘Teej Vrat’ or ‘Bat Savitri Vrat’. The intention is the same in all these ‘Vrat Sadhna’ but days and techniques differ.
Rights Reserved by Tapasvini
It must be clear to you that those who aren’t worthy, do not understand such things like ‘Karva Chauth Vrat’ is an important occasion. But it is important for the woman who is a ‘Tapasvini’, who observes her duties and has faith in her Dharma, as what the enlightened beings elaborated already and is being observed from thousands of years.
Women, who in the name and idea of modernity shun this, criticise these important Sadhna traditions, can excuse themselves of such privileges due to their oblivious mindset. They are termed as ‘Maleccha’ in our scriptures. Call them the modern woman, the so-called empowered feminists, progressive, or the leftists. You can recognise them by all such terms, or who march in their life on such ideologies. The truth is, such women are the ‘Malecchas’, they are against our ‘Sanskriti’, our age-old, proven traditions passed on by the highly conscious beings, the enlightened beings. They talk against our traditions and such advanced Sadhna techniques.
You can easily recognise such women and men. Anyone who makes fun of such a developed tradition like that of ‘Karva Chauth’, gives their own rotten logic, is somehow trying to end these important traditions, thinking that they are logical; but are far from anything called logic in reality. They are beings with lower levels of consciousness.
Remember, when the enemy wants to end you, they will first try to malign all the sources of your power. Enemy is anyone who tries to rob you of your powers. They will use all kinds of media and logic to make you feel bad about such Sadhna techniques and look down upon it. The spiritual power, the inner power of ‘Tapa Shakti’ is the top-most power and is accessible only to the advanced traditions.
That is why all those women who are ‘Tapasvini’, those who understand the essence of such Sadhna techniques, strictly condemn the ‘Maleccha’ beings, whether it is the man or a woman.
